Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How often should I see a dentist?

A. The American Dental Association (ADA) guidelines recommend visiting a dentist at least twice a year for an exam and professional cleaning. Our office also recommends a minimum of two visits per year.

Q. What should I expect during my appointment?

A. Your first visit will begin with a New Patient Conversation with Dr. Loden.  Dr. Loden likes to set this time aside for his new patients as that you both have the opportunity to get to know one another and each other's expectations.  After the New Patient Conversation, you will then meet with our hygienist who will take a series of records to determine your current dental health. We will then examine your teeth and gums, screen you for oral cancer, make X-rays of your teeth as needed and complete a TMJ (temporomandibular or jaw joint) exam. Dr. Loden will then review his findings with you and plan any necessary treatment if needed.
